  • Gridded data of water debt for year 2000. The water debt expresses the number of years required by the hydrological cycle to replenish the water source (soil moisture, surface water, ground water) that have been used to accomplish the annual production of nine major crops. The considered crops are: wheat, maize, rice, soybean, sugar cane, sugar beet, cotton, barley, sorghum. • This dataset contains high resolution measurements of tree motion in response to wind at six sites. The data was collected using sensors mounted directly onto the tree trunk. The sites are: Rivox, Kershope, Kyloe and Clocaenog in the UK. Guanica in Puerto Rico and six open-grown trees from Australia. Full details about this dataset can be found at https://doi.org/10.5285/fecff8c2-983e-4883-a0f8-ac65deba02cf

  • This dataset contains information about the locations and local environmental conditions of 123 Malaise trap samples collected in November-December 2021 in the 908 km2 forested ‘leakage belt’ buffer zone of the Gola Rainforest National Park (GRNP) in eastern Sierra Leone, where cocoa, a driver of deforestation, is the main cash crop. Each trap was set out for 5 days with >99% ethanol. The samples were transported from Sierra Leone to the UK, where they have been sent for metabarcoding for arthropods (using Leray2 PCR primers). The work was supported by the Natural Environment Research Council (Grant NE/S014063/1). Full details about this dataset can be found at https://doi.org/10.5285/161315e4-71c1-481d-906c-149ab2e9705c

  • Averaged outputs from the WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) model for the Rio Santa and Vilcanota, Urubamba and Vilcabamba catchments in Peru. Averaging was applied over the entire model period from 1980 to 2018. Data includes: - Averaged precipitation and air temperature records and the related standard deviation at a 4km resolution (annually and for each season) for each catchment. Monthly averaged and monthly totals of air temperature and precipitation (averaged over each catchment). - WRF model input elevation for each catchment. - WRF total precipitation and maximum/minimum air temperature at the location of five on-glacier weather stations (Artesonraju Glacier, Shallap Glacier, Cuchillacocha Glacier, Quisoquipina Glacier and Quelccaya Ice Cap) at a daily resolution from 1980 to 2018.
