Datasets from the Resolving subglacial properties, hydrological networks and dynamic evolution of ice flow on the Greenland Ice Sheet (RESPONDER) project as published in the paper by Chudley et al. entitled "Controls on water storage and drainage in crevasses on the Greenland Ice Sheet". This dataset consists of remotely sensed observations of water-filled crevasses across a marine-terminating sector of the west Greenland Ice Sheet between 2017 and 2019.The dataset presented here includes all data necessary to replicate the findings presented in the main paper, including UAV photogrammetry-derived raster data (producing a series of orthophotos and digital elevation models) and observations from satellite-derived data (Sentinel-2, ArcticDEM, and MEaSUREs Greenland velocity data) of crevasse presence, water presence, and estimates of surface stress. This research was funded by the European Research Council as part of the RESPONDER project under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (Grant 683043). This is distributed temperature sensing (DTS) data from a 1,043 m borehole drilled to the base of Sermeq Kujalleq (Store Glacier), Greenland, 28 km inland from the glacier terminus. The DTS system was installed on 5 July 2019, with recordings continuing until cable failure on 13 August 2019. The record resolution is ~0.65 m. This work was primarily funded and conducted as part of the European Research Council RESPONDER project (https://www.erc-responder.eu/) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (Grant 683043). Robert Law was supported by Natural Environment Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership studentships (Grant NE/L002507/1).

Survey flying (using Basler BT-67 aircraft C-GJKB) was carried out between 1 May 2014 and 12 May 2014 to measure the ice thickness, surface elevation and magnetic anomaly of the Queen Elizabeth Islands, Nunavut, Canada. The primary radar instrument was the UTIG-JPL High-Capability Radar Sounder (HICARS: Peters et al., 2005). Level 1 radar data products are hosted at NSIDC. Surface elevation data was acquired by a fixed beam Riegl laser altimeter using a solid-state infrared lasar firing at 100 Hz. A tail boom-mounted cesium vapor total field magnetometer specially configured for the aircraft measured the magnetic anomaly. Funding was provided by NERC grants NE/K004999/1, NE/K004956/1 and NE/K004956/2.

Polarimetric phase-sensitive radar measurements were collected at the Western Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) Divide on the 25th and 26th December 2019. The measurements were conducted at 10 sites along a 6 km-long transect ~5-10 km northeast of the location of the WAIS Divide Deep Ice Core. At each site, a suite of four quadrature (quad-) polarimetric measurements were collected using an autonomous phase-sensitive radio echo sounder (ApRES) in a single-input single-output (SISO) configuration. The study is part of the Thwaites Interdisciplinary Margin Evolution (TIME) project of the International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration (ITGC), and is a collaboration between the United States National Science Foundation (NSF) and the United Kingdom Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). It was funded by UK Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) research grant NE/S006788/1 and USA National Science Foundation (NSF) research grant 1739027.

This dataset represents model output from 4 simulations of Store Glacier produced using the Elmer/Ice glacier model equipped with novel 3D calving subroutines. As described in the paper associated with this dataset (Todd et al., JGR, 2018), the model is initialised with velocity observations and then forced with present day environmental forcing. The simulation covers a 5 year time period with no fixed dates. Funding was provided by the NERC grant NE/K500884/1.

We present extensive new bathymetric compilation over Anvers-Hugo Trough, Perrier Trough and Palmer Deep, here defined by the following bounding box: 66.15 to 64.0 W, 65.25 to 63.6 S. This bathymetry grid was compiled from a variety of different data sources including multibeam swath bathymetry collected from scientific cruises undertaken by British Antarctic Survey (BAS), United Kingdom Hydrographic Office, or acquired during RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer, HMS Protector and RV Maurice Ewing expeditions. The data is available as a 30m resolution grid either in a NetCDF format using WGS84 coordinate system (EPSG: 4326) or in an ESRI ASCII interchange raster format in standard Antarctic polar stereographic coordinates (EPSG 3031). The grid have been created using the MB-system mbgrid program. For further information regarding the creation of this dataset please refer to the associated article and the supplementary information.

This dataset is a recording of passive seismic responses on Eastwind Glacier (Windless Bight, Ross Island, Antarctica), also containing 212 active-source seismic shots made with a hammer and plate source. The data are recorded using fibre optic distributed acoustic sensing (DAS), with a 2.2 km cable length connected into a FEBUS Optics A1 interrogator. The acquisitions take place over a two-hour period from 23:46 UTC on 2024-02-06, to 01:54 UTC on 2024-02-07. The acquisition is part of a broader campaign of seismic measurements to determine grounding line dynamics of Eastwind Glacier and image the bathymetry of the sub-shelf ocean cavity. The data were recorded as part of the ITGC TIME and EGGS ON TOAST projects, by a team from various UK and US institutions. The data are presented as HDF5 files. with supporting information provided in CSV files.
