  • This collection of datasets hold the tropical storm tracks derived from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) HighResMIP model simulations obtained from the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF). Different storm tracking algorithms are used to identify the storm tracks including TRACK (Hodges, K., et. al., 2017) and TempestExtremes (Ullrich and Zarzycki, 2017; Zarzycki and Ullrich, 2017).

  • This dataset captures foraging locations from high resolution GPS tracking and reproductive success of 346 wandering albatrosses (Diomedea exulans) breeding on Possession Island, Crozet Islands archipelago, Southern Indian Ocean from 2010 to 2020. GPS locations are available at fix frequencies from 1 to 15 minutes. Breeding success data are accompanied by personality (''boldness'') values and sex of each individual. GPS data were used to study the effect of climate variation, and its interaction with personality, on behaviour and reproductive success. This research was supported by NERC standard grant NE/V015036/1.

  • This dataset summarises the raw GPS locations obtained by satellite tracking of two southern right whales tagged at South Georgia island on 28th January 2020. One whale, genetically identified as a female, was tracked for 117 days (4,860 tag locations provided) and travelled ~5818km including a short period of time at the ice edge. The second whale, genetically identified as a male, was tracked for 238 days (8,492 tag locations provided) and travelled ~9,885km, including migration through the national waters of Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. Funding: EU BEST 2.0 Medium Grant 1594, DARWIN PLUS award DPLUS057 and funding from the South Georgia Heritage Trust and Friends of South Georgia Island.

  • This dataset comprises Platform Terminal Transmitter (PTT) data for chinstrap penguins at Signy, Laurie and Monroe Islands, part of the South Orkney Islands, between December and February 2000-2016 (austral summer). The tracking data encompasses the breeding and post-breeding migratory dispersal of chinstrap penguins. The data includes coordinates for satellite uplinks for each tag and respective trip, along with error values for each satellite uplink. Metadata includes additional information about nesting and morphology, when available. PTT tags were deployed by British Antarctic Survey (BAS) personnel supported by Natural Environment Research Council (UK) core funding, WWF Grant (GB095701), Darwin Plus grant DPLUS054 and CCAMLR special fund.
