These data are the simulated peat heights and water-table depths (both in cm) from a DigiBog run. The virtual peatland was configured as a 2-D transect of 100 x 2m x 2m columns. The data were generated for each year of a 5,100-year run. After 4,900 years, six ditches were added and the model allowed to run for a further 100 years. After this time, the ditches were ‘restored’ and the simulation continued until a total runtime of 5,100 years had elapsed. This dataset contains depth to water table measurements from ten experimental microcatchments (0.4-3.9 hectares) on Stalybridge Moor, an upland peatland in the Peak District, UK. The data extend from 2019 to 2022, covering a period before and after gully blocking took place in six microcatchments, with four microcatchment kept as a non-restored control. Monthly measurements from October-February, summer/autumn. Full details about this dataset can be found at https://doi.org/10.5285/e9ffe8aa-3c17-4f3a-a3e7-5ab3add0af07

The dataset contains borehole groundwater levels and physico-chemical parameters for the period May 2017 to June 2018 including; (1) near-monthly measurements of water table depth, groundwater temperature, pH, electrical conductivity and total dissolved solids obtained from manual sampling of 22 boreholes; and (2) higher temporal resolution (5-min time-step) timeseries of water table depth, groundwater temperature and electrical conductivity obtained from automatic dataloggers in 3 of the abovementioned boreholes. This dataset contains information about meteorological conditions, soil parameters and water table depth at Whim Bog, an ombrotrophic heather-dominated bog near Edinburgh, Scotland. Meteorological measurements were recorded at a height of 2 m above the bog on a meteorological mast which is a part of a peatland nitrogen pollution experiment established in 2002. The measurements are recorded using a wide range of automatic sensors recording continuous meteorological data reported in this dataset at 15-minute intervals. This dataset relates to measurements taken from 2003 till 2023. This long-term dataset provides a comprehensive outlook of meteorological conditions in southern Scotland over the past two decades and can help identify changing climatic trends and anomalies. The work was supported by UKCEH National Capability for UK Challenges Programme NE/Y006208/1. The dataset contains a scaled, semi-quantitative conceptual hydrogeological model of the Gaborone catchment along a general WSW-ENE direction including; (1) the geographic coordinates of the extremities of each segment of the polyline transect; (2) the raster, scaled image of the conceptual hydrogeological cross-section.
