Microclimate data collected hourly at Mars Oasis, for 13 climatic variables via automatic data loggers, from 2000-2019. Data is not available across the entire temporal range for all variables. NERC funded under the British Antarctic Survey National Capability programme, Polar Science for Planet Earth.

The datasets consist of three csv files containing: (i) the numbers of DNA reads of 415 operational taxonomic units of fungi in 64 plots of a soil warming experiment sampled in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, (ii) the taxonomic placements of the fungi and (iii) the treatments applied to the plots. The research was funded by an Antarctic Funding Initiative grant from the UK Natural Environment Research Council (NE/D00893X/1), a NERC GW4+ Doctoral Training Partnership studentship (grant number NE/L002434/1), NERC core funding to the British Antarctic Survey Long Term Monitoring and Survey programme, and monies derived from the University in Svalbard Arctic Mycology course (for which reference numbers are not available).

The dataset consists of 21 physico-chemical parameters (moisture concentration, pH value, electrical conductivity, the concentrations of total organic C and N, Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Ni, P, Zn, and those of water-extractable phosphate ions, sulphate ions, chloride ion, ammonium-N ions, nitrate/nitrite-N ions and dissolved organic carbon) measured in 29 soils gathered from along a latitudinal transect between Signy Island (60 degrees South) and south-eastern Alexander Island (72 degrees South) in November 2007-February 2008. Funding was provided by NERC grants NE/D00893X/1; AFI 7/05
