- Statement
- Microcosms containing aggregates between 1 and 2 mm of a sandy loam soil packed at five bulk densities (1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 g cm-3) scanned using a benchtop X–ray Computed Tomography scanner, and images thresholded to obtain the solid and pore phases. The water and air distribution in the pore space was computed using lattice-Boltzmann modeling for two water conditions (20±0.5 and 80±0.5% as fraction of pore space visible with computed tomography), resulting in a total of 30 images (5 soil bulk densities * 3 repetitions per bulk density * 2 water conditions).
