These data comprise four phases of geophysical survey carried out in 2002, 2007, 2008 and 2011, covering various areas within the Thames Estuary as part of an overarching archaeological investigation called the London Gateway project (2001-2020) ahead of planned dredging works.

- 88635_49575 - Sidescan sonar data acquired in 2002 using Isis software by the PLA and Wessex Archaeology. Sidescan operated at 100 KhZ frequency. Range 75 - 100 m, 150 m line spacing, 30 m cable out. The data were acquired in OSGB36 British National Grid coordinates. 88635_61207 - Sidescan sonar data acquired in 2007 using GeoDAS by the PLA and Wessex Archaeology. Operated at 400 kHz and at a range of 50 m. The data were acquired in WGS84 UTM31N. 88635_61208 Sidescan sonar data acquired in 2008 using a Klein system. operated at 400 KhZ frequency. Range 50 m. Acquired in WGS84 Geographic coordinates. Sensor positions rather than ship positions for each line in metadata. 88635_79800 Magnetometer data acquired in WGS84 UTM31N using a Geometrics G882 Marine Magnetometer. Sidescan sonar data acquired in WGS84 Lat/Long using a Klein system operated at 900 kHz with range up to 100m
