- Statement
- The flume was filled with gravel, and wire baskets were buried in it. The bed was scanned using TLS. Flow was run through the flume to waterwork the gravel, and then the flume was drained. The bed was rescanned using TLS. Then the baskets were extracted, and CT scanned. 15 experimental runs were completed, with increasing amounts of sand and clay added to the flume throughout the experiment. CT data were processed to remove any scan artefacts, and to segment the gravel grains from the surrounding matrix and other materials. These segmented scans were then analysed to measure grain properties.
