  • Time-mean Sea Level Projections for the UK produced by the Met Office for UK Climate Projections 2018 (UKCP2018). Data has been produced by standard and exploratory methods.

  • As part of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Sea Level Climate Change Initiative (CCI) Project, Fundamental Climate Data Records (FCDRs) have been computed for all the altimeter missions used within the project. These FCDR's consist of along track values of sea level anomalies and altimeter standards for the period between 1993 and 2015. This version of the product is v2.0. The FCDR's are mono-mission products, derived from the respective altimeter level-2 products. They have been produced along the tracks of the different altimeters, with a resolution of 1Hz, corresponding to a ground distance close to 6km. The dataset is separated by altimeter mission, and divided into files by altimetric cycle corresponding to the repetivity of the mission.   • As part of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Sea Level Climate Change Initiative (CCI) project, a multi-satellite merged time series of monthly gridded Sea Level Anomalies (SLA) has been produced from satellite altimeter measurements. The Sea Level Anomaly grids have been calculated after merging the altimetry mission measurements together into monthly grids, with a spatial resolution of 0.25 degrees. This version of the product is Version 2.0.   • This dataset contains rates of mass change and cumulative mass change and their associated uncertainty for the Antarctic Ice Sheet (in its entirety and split into West Antarctica, East Antarctica and the Antarctic Peninsula), the Greenland Ice Sheet, and their sum between 1992 and 2020. The data are reconciled estimates of mass balance from three independent satellite-based techniques: altimetry, gravimetry and input-output method. This dataset is part of the Ice Sheet Mass Balance Intercomparison Exercise (IMBIE). This work is an outcome of the Ice Sheet Mass Balance Inter-Comparison Exercise IMBIE) supported by the ESA Climate Change Initiative and the NASA Cryosphere Program.   • This dataset consists of the time series of mass change of the Greenland Ice Sheet and its contribution to global sea level between 1980 and 2018 derived from satellite measurements. The dataset presented here is a reconciled estimate of mass balance estimates from three independent satellite-based techniques - gravimetry, altimetry and input-output method - and its associated uncertainty. This dataset is part of the Ice Sheet Mass Balance Inter-comparison Exercise (IMBIE). The total mass change as well as the partition between surface and dynamics mass balance are provided in this dataset. This work is an outcome of the Ice Sheet Mass Balance Inter-Comparison Exercise (IMBIE) supported by the ESA Climate Change Initiative and the NASA Cryosphere Program.   • This dataset presents monthly gridded sea ice and ocean parameters for the Arctic derived from the European Space Agency''s satellite CryoSat-2. Parameters include sea ice freeboard, sea ice thickness, sea ice surface roughness, mean sea surface height, sea level anomaly, and geostrophic circulation. Data are provided as monthly grids with a resolution of 25 km, mapped onto the NSIDC EASE2-Grid, covering the Arctic region north of 50 degrees latitude, for all winter months (Oct-Apr) between 2010 and 2018. CryoSat-2 Level 1b Baseline C observed waveforms have been retracked using a numerical model for the SAR altimeter backscattered echo from snow-covered sea ice presented in Landy et al. (2019), which offers a sophisticated physically-based treatment of the effect of ice surface roughness on retracked ice and ocean elevations. Methods for optimizing echo model fits to observed CryoSat-2 waveforms, retracking waveforms, classifying returns, deriving sea ice freeboard, and converting to thickness are detailed in Landy et al. (In Review). This dataset contains derived sea ice thicknesses from two processing chains, the first using the conventional snow depth and density climatology from Warren et al. (1999) and the second using reanalysis and model-based snow data from SnowModel (Stroeve et al., In Review). Sea surface height and ocean topography grids were derived from only those CryoSat-2 samples classified as leads. Both the random and systematic uncertainties relevant for each parameter have been carefully estimated and are provided in the data files. NetCDF files contain detailed descriptions of each derived parameter. The oceanic indicators dataset consists of static files covering the whole altimeter period, describing the evolution of the project's monthly sea level anomaly gridded product (see separate dataset record).
