Dataset contains images recorded during a trial of Automated Monitoring of Insects (AMI), Automoth and Diopsis camera systems. The images were taken at five sites in Barro Colorado Island, Panama, during night-time hours from the 23rd to the 26th of January 2023. This dataset contains time-series measurements of trees bending in the wind. The data was collected in 2022 in Barro Colorado Island, Panama. 105 trees were measured, with two sensors per tree recording bending strains at 4 Hz. This data was collected for the purpose of estimating the risk of wind damage to these trees. It could also be used to estimate the fundamental sway frequencies of the trees, and how they change over time, which varies with leaf phenology and tree water content.
