Results of Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) conducted in Kwale County, Kenya December 2015 and June 2016 by University of Nairobi and Water Resources Management Authority as part of the Gro for GooD project (https://upgro.org/consortium/gro-for-good/) to characterize the aquifers in the study area. There were eight transects of length 1.2 to 6km, running W-E and NNE-SSW parallel to coastline. ERT data was analysed using RES2D inversion software. Mineralogical and geochemical data from sulphides and other ore minerals from the Skouries porphyry Cu-Au deposit, Greece. Samples were taken from several boreholes from the Skouries mine, courtesy of Eldorado Gold Corporation. This data contains petrological photographs; identification of platinum group minerals and precious metal minerals; and trace element concentration of ore minerals. This data was collected as part of the TeaSe consortium NERC grant in order to determine the concentration and hosting of critical and precious metals in various types of ore deposits and barren rocks from different geological environments. This data was collected and interpreted by researchers at Cardiff University and is used in a paper, available at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.oregeorev.2018.06.014.

Documentation of experiments run to investigate partitioning of H-C-F-Cl (Hydrogen, Carbon, fluorine, Chlorine) in the system apatite-melt. Data include representative images of each experiment, together with a description of run conditions as documented in an accompanying manuscript by Riker et al. (submitted).

This is a series of maps, in GIS shapefile format, for each of 48 countries in Africa, that show hydrogeology (aquifer type and productivity) and geology (with particular relevance to hydrogeology) at 1:5 million scale. The maps have two hydrogeological themes: -geology with geological categories that reflect significant hydrogeological units; and -hydrogeology, combining classifications of aquifer type and productivity. The maps were produced as part of the Africa Groundwater Atlas project.

The Africa Groundwater Atlas is an online resource developed by the BGS, in collaboration with hydrogeologists across Africa. This service presents layers showing the hydrogeology (aquifer type and productivity) and geology (with particular reference to hydrogeology) of 38 African countries.

This layer of the Map based index (GeoIndex) shows where water wells exist with data available on transmissivity, storativity and discharge/drawdown. These parameters indicate the physical characteristics of the aquifer which can relate to factors such as possible storage capacities or rate of movement of water through the rock.
