Additional samples for the analysis of gas composition, carbon and hydrogen isotopes were collected using stainless steel cylinders. Bulk gas content as a percentage was determined using an Agilent 6890N gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC-MS). Carbon and hydrogen isotope values were measured using GC-IRMS of Agilent 6890N-Isoprime 100 and Thermofisher 1310-Delta V, respectively. Methane clumped isotopologues were measured by a tunable infrared laser direct absorption spectroscopy (TILDAS, Aerodyne). Noble gas abundance and isotopic ratios were determined by an Isotopx NGX noble gas mass spectrometer.
