- This initial dataset for the 121 m UK Geoenergy Observatories (UKGEOS) Cheshire BHA-101 Ground Investigation was derived from borehole drilling, rotary coring and geophysical wireline logging. Driller's log information was compiled by the drilling contractor SOCOTEC and checked against BGS records made on drill site. Wireline logging data was collected by European Geophysical Services and quality control checks with data processing were undertaken by BGS to create the .las file. More information is available in the README files which accompany the dataset. Sedimentary logging was undertaken after the completion of drilling by BGS.
