Statement

This dataset for the 94.16 m drilled depth UK Geoenergy Observatories (UKGEOS) Glasgow sensor testing borehole GGA02 was derived from borehole drilling and rock chip returns, and geophysical wireline logging of the borehole. Drillers’ log information was compiled by the drilling contractor BAM Nuttall/BAM Ritchies/Drilcorp and checked against BGS records made on drill site. BGS collected rock chip samples every metre and created rock chip and interpretive summary logs. Wireline logging data was collected by Robertson Geo Services Ltd and quality control checks were undertaken by BGS. Fibre-optic cable installation was completed by Silixa Ltd and electrical resistivity tomography cable installation was completed by BGS.
