Update of individual annual figures is a year-round process. 'World Mineral Statistics 1997-2001'(annual) BGS PUBLICATION. PUBLICATION: 'WORLD MINERAL STATISTICS 1995-99' Mackenzie, A.C. et al. 1999 PUBLICATION: MODERNISATION OF THE WORLD MINERALS STATISTICS DATABASE, BGS TECHNICAL REPORT. 'World Mineral Statistics 1998-2002' 'European Mineral Statistics 1997-2001' 'European Mineral Statistics 1998-2002' Additional data on trade are available in paper form (sources of imports, destinations of exports). No data are routinely compiled on aggregate minerals (crushed rock or natural). For 12 commodities data are for production only. Standard abbreviations and symbols are used throughout. Units of measurements are tonnes, kilograms or carats, according to commodity. Value (#) is used where mass is not available. Estimated numbers are rounded to between one and three orders of magnitude higher than the measured totals.
