- Supplemental Information
- Early data assembled by Roy Lilwall. PUBLICATION: BGS REPORT WL/94/04. Although there has not been a published update of the catalogue since 1994, the data file has been kept up to date with regards to earthquakes occuring post 1994, revisions have been made to existing entries and some historical events only recently discovered have been added.

- Statement
- The catalogue of UK Historical Earthquakes was compiled by BGS staff over the course of 20 years of research into macro seismic readings (felt reports). An index of the earthquakes was created and stored in the corporate database and made openly available to users in the early 2000s.
