- Statement
- The data have come from direct observations from members of the public, who have submitted records through an online recording form. The majority of data are at 1km or better resolution. Records have been verified by expert entomologists from specimens or photographs, or have been received from accredited recorders. Coverage is complete, as known; media attention since the harlequin's arrival has increased the awareness of this species and ladybird recording.
