- Supplemental Information
- Data was compiled as contribution to a project funded by European Commission, under the 7th Framework Program (Grant agreement ID: 608921). Data originally compiled as ESRI Shapefiles, then ingested into PostgreSQL database which is backend of the BGS EN MINERALS service.

- Statement
- Data collated as part of the Minerals4U project ~ primarily utilising the 1:625K geology data. For metallic deposits an alternative approach was utilised i.e using as a starting point Figure 21 from Exploration for Metalliferous and Related Minerals in Britain: A Guide Colman, T.B (1990) which depicts metalliferous ore fields; data was supplemented by point data extracted from the BGS Mineral occurrences database.
