- Statement
- 1kg of soil was taken and stored appropriately (in provided containers) for each of 3 samples at each of the four transplant elevations (500m, 1000m, 1500m, 2000m). Soil was then transported to the Nucleo Chimico Mediterraneo laboratories (Catania, Sicily) where they measured the soil for physical properties (grain sizes), pH, and nutrient, salt and ion contents.
