The experiment aimed to investigate the effect of different nutrient regimes on Taste and Odour issues. Mesocosms were filled with reservoir water and water temperature was measured by platinum resistance thermometers (PRT) shaded by a plastic cover, sited around mid-depth, radially offset by 30 cm from the mesocosm's side wall and logged by a Campbell Scientific Data Logger. Air temperature was measured at a weather station within the mesocosm compound (Vaisala weather transmitter WXT520) at around 2.7m height. Whenever the difference between the hourly averaged two water temperature sensor data was less than 0.2 °C, the average between both temperatures was calculated. If the difference was larger than 0.2 °C, data was checked against the overall average of the temperature sensors recorded by each data logger. Whenever the difference was larger than 0.2 °C, one of the two temperature sensors had drifted either higher than the average or below the average temperature. In those cases, this sensor was ignored and only data from one temperature sensor was used during those occasions (see table in the supporting documentation).
