They scanned a 1 m square area with a resolution of 0.8 mm at 10 m. Both TLS have been placed in the same local coordinate system and orientated to the wind direction. Details on the specific scan times for each TLS are included in the dataset. The CSAT 3D sonic anemometer was positioned 0.24 m above the surface. The Wenglors were at heights of 0.02, 0.05, 0.115, 0.18 and 0.5 m. Modified Bagnold sand traps (4 in each run) were placed at 0 - 0.5 m in height above the surface to coincide with 1 or more scans - details of individual trap run times are included in the dataset.
