- Statement
- Drosophila melanogaster larvae obtained from a wild caught population were exposed injected with wasp homogenate, oil or no manipulation was made. Encapsulation rates were measured in each case in the fly larvae. For RNA-sequencing, hemocyte and fat body tissues were isolated from third instar larvae 24 hours post experimental manipulation. RNA was isolated for sequencing. Sequenced reads were trimmed, mapped to the dm6 genome, number of reads mapping to each gene was counted, differential expression tests were applied, and functional enrichment was done.
