Statement

Densities of major crustacean zooplankton taxa collected from Loch Leven from 1972-2007 by staff at CEH Edinburgh and its predecessor bodies as part of long-term monitoring programme, although there are significant gaps in the dataset during the 1980s when funding for monitoring was limited. Method of collection varied over period of collection. Samples collected during the following periods were analysed:1972-74 by D. Johnson; 1975-1977 by D. G. George, 1978-82 by D. H. Jones and post-1982-2007 by I.D.M. Gunn.
